Diploma Pick Up

Winter 2012 diplomas can be picked up at the Student Service Center (SSC) on the first floor of the Student Academic Services (SAS) building, 281 West Lane Avenue, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on commencement day, or during regular business hours March 19 to March 30. If you are unable to pick up your diploma personally during the allotted time period, you may send someone else with a letter granting that person permission to obtain this document on your behalf. If your diploma remains unclaimed, an attempt will be made to mail it to your permanent address as listed on the student information system after one month via U.S. Mail. Diplomas returned in the mail or unclaimed at the Student Service Center will be held for one quarter following commencement. Diplomas requested after this time period must be reprinted at the graduate's expense. Call (614) 292-0300 with questions about diploma pick up.

If you filed a Commencement Absence Form with your college office prior to the ceremony and requested that your diploma be mailed to you, you should receive your diploma within one month. Your diploma will be sent via U.S. Mail. Ohio State does not assume responsibility for nondelivery if the address you provide is incorrect.

 

         

        

Diploma Corrections

If there is an error on your diploma (name misspelled, honors listed incorrectly, etc.), please contact the Office of Commencement and Special Events at (614) 292-9051 to make arrangements to receive a corrected diploma.

If your name is listed incorrectly on your diploma (nickname instead of formal name, middle initial instead of middle name, etc.), please verify that your name is listed on your academic record as you would like it to appear on your diploma.  To view your name as it appears on your academic record, please access the “Find People” link from the OSU website, enter your name or OSU internet username (lastname.#) and search.  The name on the screen will be the name that is printed on the diploma.  If this name is incorrect, you must submit a “Request for Change of Record” form along with appropriate documentation verifying your name change to the Student Service Center (281 West Lane Avenue) before a new diploma can be issued.  (Note: Name changes entered in the Student Center through BuckeyeLink will NOT change the name printed on your diploma.)  After this has been done, please contact the Office of Commencement and Special Events at (614) 292-9051 to make arrangements to receive a corrected diploma.

Diplomas will be corrected for one quarter following commencement. After this time period, diplomas must be corrected at the graduate's expense.
