The ceremony will take place in Ohio Stadium on Saturday, August 7. It begins at 7:30 p.m. and will last approximately 1 1/2 hours. Tickets are not required for graduates or guests.
Participation in the ceremony is reserved for graduates of the Class of 2020 only. Graduates who have elected to participate in the ceremony and their guests should remain for the entire ceremony. Graduates are encouraged to wear academic regalia for the processional and ceremony, but it is not required for attendance.
Instructions will be provided to graduates throughout the ceremony.
The Processional
Graduates will leave the assembly location at 7:20 p.m. and move into the stadium at 7:30 p.m.
Guests should be in their seats by 7:15 p.m. as access to certain areas will be restricted after this time until the processional has concluded.
Graduates should be seated immediately upon reaching their seats.

Graduates from each college will be acknowledged as a group. Graduates' names are not called during the ceremony.
Special Performance from The Ohio State University Marching Band
The Ohio State University Marching Band will perform for the 2020 graduates and their guests.
Singing of "Carmen Ohio"
Graduates and guests will be led in the singing of the alma mater.
Awarding of 2020 Special Commemoration and Recessional
Graduates will rise by rows and move to the field as directed. Because graduates have already received their diplomas, graduates will receive a special commemoration as the Class of 2020.
As a courtesy to all those attending commencement, graduates and guests are asked to refrain from using horns and other noisemakers during the ceremony.
